Couples Therapy for Connection and Growth

Many of the couples I work with care deeply about one another and want to build a strong, fulfilling relationship, but find themselves getting stuck in patterns that create frustration, distance, or misunderstanding. They may be having the same disagreements repeatedly, struggling to communicate their needs, or feeling unsure how to navigate a new stage of life together.

I especially enjoy working with couples who are navigating seasons of growth and transition. They may be dating, moving in together, preparing for marriage, adjusting to married life, starting a family, or learning how to balance individual needs with the needs of their relationship. These transitions often bring opportunities for deeper connection, but they can also surface challenges that leave couples feeling stuck or disconnected.

Couples therapy provides a space to better understand one another, strengthen your connection, and address challenges before they become more deeply ingrained. Together, we'll work toward creating a relationship that feels secure, supportive, and aligned with the life you're building together.

Accessibility & Convenience

All sessions are conducted through an easy to use, HIPAA compliant telehealth system, so we can meet from the comfort of your home. Please note that you must live in California for us to work together.

Life is busy, and fitting therapy into an already full schedule can be challenging. To help make therapy more accessible, I offer evening and weekend appointments.

  • You may find yourselves:

    • Having recurring disagreements that never seem fully resolved

    • Struggling to communicate without becoming defensive, withdrawn, or frustrated

    • Feeling misunderstood, disconnected, or emotionally distant

    • Unsure about the next step in your future together

    • Adjusting to major life changes or new responsibilities

    • Navigating differences in expectations, needs, or priorities

    • Wanting to strengthen your relationship before problems become more entrenched

    • Looking for support in creating a healthy, lasting foundation together

  • Couples therapy isn't about determining who is right or wrong. Instead, it provides an opportunity to better understand the patterns that keep you feeling stuck and create new ways of connecting with one another.

    Together, we can work toward:

    • Understanding the cycles that contribute to conflict or disconnection

    • Feeling more understood, supported, and emotionally connected

    • Communicating needs and concerns more effectively

    • Navigating life transitions as a team

    • Strengthening trust, intimacy, and security in your relationship

    • Developing healthier ways of responding during difficult conversations

    • Building a relationship that can adapt and grow through future challenges

    • Creating a relationship that feels more connected, supportive, and fulfilling

  • My approach to couples therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when both partners feel heard, understood, and supported. I strive to create a space where each person can openly share their experiences while working toward a deeper understanding of themselves, their partner, and the relationship they are building together.

My work is informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and the Gottman Method. EFT helps couples identify and change the emotional patterns that contribute to conflict and disconnection, while Gottman-based interventions provide practical tools for strengthening communication, managing conflict more effectively, and deepening friendship and trust.

Rather than focusing on who is right or wrong, we'll work together to understand the patterns that keep you stuck, strengthen your ability to navigate challenges as a team, and create a relationship that feels more secure, connected, and fulfilling. My goal is to help you build a strong foundation that supports both your relationship and the life you're creating together.

  • Couples therapy is a collaborative process designed to help both partners better understand themselves, each other, and the relationship they are creating together. Sessions provide a space to slow down recurring conflicts, explore challenges with greater curiosity and compassion, and practice new ways of connecting.

Whether you're hoping to strengthen an already solid relationship, navigate a major transition, or address patterns that are beginning to create distance, therapy can help you strengthen the understanding, skills, and emotional connection needed to move forward together with greater confidence and intention.
